Diabetes Care Center

The King’s Daughters’ Diabetes Care Center accredited by the American Diabetes Association for excellence in Diabetes education. Diabetes education and assistance is provided for both patients in the hospital, and on an outpatient basis by individual appointment. A Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) teams with the patient and their physician to provide information and assistance.

Location and contact information

The Diabetes Care Center is located just off Presbyterian Avenue, directly across from the Emergency Department entrance on the hospital campus. Patients are seen in the office by appointment. Contact Janice Shroyer at 812-265-0633 for more information, or via e-mail at shroyerj@kdhhs.org.

Services

The Diabetes Care Center provides education and resources For patients and families dealing with diabetes. Janice Shroyer, CDE, provides counseling services for newly diagnosed and longtime diabetes patients. She assists patients with nutritional assessments, diabetes resources and information about new, innovative treatments.

Diabetes support group

The Diabetes support group meets monthly to provide support and assistance For patients and families with Diabetes. To view the dates and times of support group meetings, please visit the classes and events section of the Web site and use the search option to find support groups.
