About us
Our history
The King’s Daughters’ Hospital and Health Services is owned by the Bethany Circle of King’s Daughters’ and Sons, and has been since August 25, 1899. The board of managers oversees the operation of the hospital and its facilities.
The inspiration of local women became a reality when Drusilla Cravens, a wealthy widow, agreed to donate a house to be used as the first hospital. Although a small beginning, the need for care grew quickly and expansion began.
Today, The King’s Daughters’ Hospital and Health Services provides advanced medicine to families throughout southeast Indiana and northern Kentucky. Ownership has not changed throughout the past century.Today’s Bethany Circle and Hospital Board Members remain true to the mission and values of their predecessors.
Our future remains bright. The King’s Daughters’ Foundation enhances our ability to succeed and give back to the community. Donations to the Foundation support outreach efforts, purchase of exciting new technology, and the development of specialized care for hospice and other patients.
